Triple
Fresh Market Inc. began its journey in the late 1800’s,
owned by William Webster and was known as “Webster’s
Store”. William operated the early store as a general store
selling everything from groceries, shoes, gasoline from fuel pumps
located on the site, hardware, and meats. Warren Webster then
took over the store operations and ran the store until 1950 when
Lloyd Webster assumed the responsibilities. Lloyd subsequently
sold the store to James Petro Jr., the current owner, in 1987.
Jim renamed the store to Hershey’s Market and remained as
such until 1994 when it took on its current name of Triple Fresh
Market. During the original take over of Webster’s Store
the hardware, gasoline and general store items were removed. In
2000 Jim tripled the store size from its original size of 3000
square feet to 9600 square feet. The store now is a general grocery
store with an emphasis on meat and deli items.
